Robyn&Reg — Product Disclaimer

Last updated: 03/08/2026

Please read this disclaimer carefully. It applies to all products sold by Robyn&Reg, including but not limited to collars, leads, harnesses, and other pet accessories.

Nothing in this disclaimer affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

1. Intended Use

Robyn&Reg products are designed as accessories for dogs and are intended to be used as directed, under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times. Our products are not designed, tested, or intended for use as safety, restraint, or security equipment in high-risk situations (e.g. restraining an aggressive or reactive dog, use near traffic without a lead attached to a secure point, or as the sole method of restraint for a dog prone to escape or injury to itself or others).

You are responsible for assessing whether a product is suitable for your dog's size, temperament, strength, and behaviour before use.

2. Supervision & Safety

  • Never leave a dog unsupervised while wearing any collar, harness, lead, or accessory, including at home, in a crate, or in a garden.
  • Collars, harnesses, and similar items should be removed during unsupervised periods, play with other dogs, or when there is a risk of entanglement or catching (e.g. crates, fencing, or furniture).
  • Regularly check all products for signs of wear, damage, or loosening. Stop using any item immediately if you notice fraying, weakened stitching, damaged hardware, or any other fault, and contact us.
  • Accessories with small components (buckles, clips, embellishments, or decorative hardware) may present a choking or ingestion hazard if chewed, removed, or damaged. Supervise accordingly and keep out of reach of puppies, small dogs, or dogs known to chew.

3. Sizing & Fit

  • It is your responsibility to correctly measure your dog and select the appropriate size using the size guide provided for each product.
  • A poorly fitted collar or harness can present a risk of choking, escape, or injury. Please check fit regularly, particularly for growing puppies or dogs whose weight may fluctuate.
  • We recommend the "two-finger rule" (being able to comfortably fit two fingers between the collar/harness and your dog's body) as a general guide, but ultimately fit and suitability should be assessed based on your individual dog.

4. Materials & Care

  • Product descriptions list the materials used in each item. Please check for any known allergies or sensitivities your dog may have before use.
  • Follow the care instructions provided with your product. Failure to do so may affect the durability, safety, or performance of the item.
  • Natural variation in materials (such as leather grain, colour, or texture) is normal and not considered a fault.

5. Not Suitable For

Our products are not intended for use as:

  • Chew toys or items meant to be mouthed, bitten, or destructively played with.
  • Muzzles, restraint devices, or medical/behavioural aids.
  • The sole containment method for dogs prone to escape, jumping, or aggressive behaviour.

Use of any Robyn&Reg product outside of its intended purpose is at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Robyn&Reg accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from:

  • Misuse of a product, or use other than as intended and described;
  • Failure to supervise a dog while using our products;
  • Incorrect sizing or fit selected by the customer;
  • Normal wear and tear, or damage caused by chewing, snagging, or excessive force;
  • Modifications made to a product after purchase.

This limitation does not affect your right to a refund, repair, or replacement for faulty, damaged, or misdescribed goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and does not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or for any other matter which cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Professional Advice

If you have any concerns about your dog's behaviour, health, or suitability for a particular product, including reactivity, anxiety, or physical conditions, please consult a vet or qualified professional behaviourist before use.

This disclaimer is provided as general guidance and is not a substitute for independent legal advice. UK law does not allow a business to exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for defective products, or for statutory consumer rights — no disclaimer, however worded, can override these. We'd strongly recommend having this reviewed by a solicitor (ideally one with product liability experience, given you're selling physical items worn by animals) before publishing, and pairing it with appropriate product liability insurance.
